"One of the best life drawing classes

I have attended.”

Experience drawing in one of Castlemaine's most fabulous heritage interiors.

Drink N Draw is an untutored life drawing gathering open to anyone wanting to extend their drawing practice or try something new. The atmosphere is relaxed, social and non-competitive. An evening typically includes short warm up exercises followed by longer poses. Boards, easels and refreshments are provided - BYO paper and drawing materials. For more information, visit our facebook page and join the private facebook group where you’ll receive regular D’n’D community updates.

Variety of models, tasks, materials and interaction made this class one of the best I have ever attended
anywhere. Held in a warm, beautiful and well setup environment, the sessions contributed a great deal to my ongoing art practice.
— Eddie Ho, Wesley Hill
a fantastic way to get back into drawing after a long time
away from my arts practice. The welcoming environment made it easy to experiment and gain confidence.
Having challenges to work with each week gave focus, and the relaxed atmosphere made the evenings a
perfect way to wind down and socialise while engaged in creative activity, all of which I found boosted my
sense of wellbeing.
— Alana Kidd, Castlemaine
I loved the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of this drawing class - the ambiance of both the hall and background music really contributed to my focus on creating by drawing.
— Helen Gilfillan, Campbells Creek
Drink and Draw provided a warm, nurturing, fun and energetic environment to explore ones creativity. One of the best life drawing classes I have attended.

drawing & community

"To draw a tree, to pay such close attention to every aspect of a tree, is an act of reverence not only toward the tree but also to our human connection to it. It gives us almost visionary moments of connectedness." Alan Lee

Life drawing for wildlife rescue

A fundraiser has been organised for the Wildlife Victoria Bushfire Appeal . All funds raised on the night will be donated to Wildlife Victoria. Drawing can be a time for quiet reflection and a great way to ground oneself - something we all need at this time as we come to terms with this new reality. Talking and being with others also helps us process.
